Maria visits the lab in Munich (19th – 21st May 2025)
A postdoc Maria Materozzi (Nice Partner 4), this week visited the lab in Munich (Partner 1) to test extraction methods for cancer-infiltrated immune cells. Great organization of both partners allowed for such a short but extremely efficient stay. Shortly before her lab visit, Maria presented her work during the "JFBTM 2025" conference in Reims (France) where she was awarded for the talk as a young researcher.

3rd Retreat (12th – 14th Feb 2025)
The third meeting of our consortium held in Nantes (Partner 3) brought real joy and excellent scientific discussion. Data presented by postdocs showed that all aspects we focus on in our research are complementary. We also had a chance to expand our knowledge about osteosarcoma models thanks to the fascinating talk given by Javier Muñoz. Now it’s time to prepare clear plan for the final steps of the project!

Reza visits the lab in Nice (Apr 2024)
Reza Yadollahvandmiandoab (former postdoc in L'Aquila, Partner 2) visited the lab in Nice (Partner 4). His one month stay was focused on the preparation of primary osteoclasts from bone marrow mononuclear cells, functional analayses focused on the communication between osteoclasts and breast cancer cells, and finally application of flow cytometry to characterize osteoclasts precursors. That was very intense time!

Daria visits the lab in Nice (14th-20th Jan 2024)
The aim of the visit was to gain hands-on experience in the multicolor flow cytometry-based phenotypical analyses of osteoclasts. Daria Klusa (postdoc from Nantes, Partner 3) visited the lab in Nice (Partner 4) to follow the protocol and independently perform osteoclastogenesis and flow cytometric analyses. This visit not only allowed to learn specific techniques but also ensured that within the consortium, we use standardized protocols whenever possible.

2nd Retreat (4th – 6th Jun 2024)
This time we all met at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense (Partner 5) to share and critically discuss results obtained during the 1st year of the project. We discussed experimental models developed at each partner’s lab and primary samples availability to plan our further work strongly based on collaboration between partners.

In addition, Amy Ribet (postdoc from Munich Partner 1) used the opportunity to continue optimizing the protocol for spatial omics in the Danish lab.

Amy visits the lab in Odense
Amy Ribet (postdoc from Munich (Partner 1) visited the lab in Odense (Partner 5). The one-week stay allowed her to perform quality controls for spatial omics using in situ hybridization technique .
1st Retreat (7th - 9th Nov 2023)
For the first time, officially, we gathered together in Palazzo Camponeschi, L'Aquila (Partner 2) to think strategically about how to efficiently develop our ideas, share data and interact regularly. We made a clear plan to pursue defined aims and planned the upcoming lab visits of our postdocs.
